Hotel Stara Planina began operation in July 2007 and is a perfect balance between modern amenities and old world charm. It was built in the architectural style of the Bulgarian national revival period (mid 1800s) and its exterior mirrors the traditional white houses of Kalofer's past.

The hotel includes one apartment, three double rooms and one single room. The apartment and rooms all have full bathrooms, cable television, air conditioning and small refrigerators.
